Our Provision
Provision Overview
ReEngage Learning offers targeted, one-to-one alternative provision for children and young people who are not currently accessing full-time education. Support is part-time, time-limited, and focused on helping pupils re-engage at a pace that feels safe and manageable. Delivery is relationship-led and therapeutically informed, with a strong emphasis on consistency, emotional regulation, and individual need. All provision is agreed in partnership with schools or commissioning bodies and is designed to support confidence, engagement, and readiness for appropriate next steps in education, rather than replace full-time schooling.
Therapeutically Informed One-to-One Support
Support is delivered on a one-to-one basis and is shaped by a strong understanding of emotional regulation, attachment, and individual need. Sessions are relationship-led, with a focus on building trust, predictability, and a sense of safety over time.
Work centres on helping pupils develop the emotional skills and confidence needed to engage with adults, routines, and learning experiences. Support is carefully paced, recognising that readiness varies and that progress looks different for each pupil.
This approach creates a stable foundation from which pupils can begin to re-engage and move forward at a pace that feels manageable.
Reintegration Readiness
Support is designed to help pupils move towards appropriate next steps in education at a pace that reflects their individual readiness. The focus is on preparation rather than pressure, recognising that reintegration is a process, not a single outcome.
Work may include supporting pupils to rebuild routines, increase tolerance for learning environments, and develop the confidence needed to manage change and transition. Emotional and behavioural responses linked to previous experiences of education are carefully considered and supported.
Reintegration planning is gradual and responsive, helping pupils feel more prepared and confident to engage with future educational pathways when the time is right.
Academic Re-engagement
Academic re-engagement focuses on helping pupils rebuild confidence in learning and develop positive experiences of engagement with education. The emphasis is on readiness and access to learning rather than the delivery of formal curriculum content.
Support is flexible and responsive, allowing pupils to reconnect with learning in ways that feel manageable and motivating. Activities are adapted to individual interests and current capacity, supporting concentration, perseverance, and engagement over time.
This approach helps pupils strengthen the skills and confidence needed to access learning environments more successfully as they move forward.

How the provision is structured
All placements are agreed in partnership with the referring school or commissioning body and are intended to be proportionate, time-limited, and reviewed regularly. Delivery is shaped by individual need and readiness, with flexibility to adapt pacing and focus as engagement develops.
Blended delivery (where appropriate)
ReEngage Learning primarily delivers one-to-one support. Where appropriate, and subject to commissioning agreement, a blended approach may be explored. This can include carefully planned micro-group sessions (typically 2–3 pupils) alongside individual sessions, to support confidence, peer interaction and readiness for wider learning environments.
Any group-based activity would be needs-led, therapeutically informed, and agreed in advance through commissioning and risk assessment processes.
All provision is delivered in line with safeguarding policies and agreed risk assessment processes.
